At The Estate at Sweetwater Creek, we want your experience to feel effortless from the very first tour to the last dance.
Here are answers to some of the most common questions couples ask when planning their wedding at our Smoky Mountain venue.
How many guests can The Estate accommodate?
Our venue can comfortably host up to 200 guests for a full wedding celebration. If your guest list is larger than that, we can still make room! We’ll simply utilize our additional reception hall for dinner and dancing to ensure everyone has space to celebrate comfortably.
Do you offer micro weddings or elopement packages?
Yes, we do! Our elopement and micro wedding packages include access to our ceremony locations — the Magnolia Tree, Grand Terrace, or Scenic Vista — with the option to add on our bridal and groom suites and overnight accommodations.
Where can we hold our ceremony?
You have several beautiful ceremony spots to choose from:
• The Scenic Vista – Sweeping mountain views and stunning golden-hour lighting.
• The Grand Terrace – Elegant and versatile, ideal for a seamless ceremony-to-reception flow.
• The Magnolia Tree – Romantic, shaded, and timeless; perfect for fairytale “I dos.”
Is there on-site lodging?
Yes! The Estate offers overnight accommodations for up to 22 guests, perfect for the wedding party, close family, or friends traveling from out of town. Staying on-site makes your celebration more relaxed and extends the fun into the next morning.
What’s included with the venue rental?
Every package includes:
• Full use of our ceremony and reception spaces for the contracted hours
• Ceremony and reception chairs and tables
• Ceremony and reception space setup
• Private bridal suite and groom’s quarters for getting ready
• On-site parking and staff assistance throughout the day
Do you allow outside vendors?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own licensed vendors — or choose from our Preferred Vendor List featuring trusted local photographers, caterers, DJs, and planners who know the property well.
Can we bring our own food or alcohol?
Catering must be provided by a licensed and insured caterer. You may provide your own alcohol, but it must be served by a licensed and insured bartender. Our team can help guide you through these requirements to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Do you help with setup and layout?
Absolutely. Our team will help you design the layout that best fits your guest count, flow, and style, and we handle the full setup of tables and chairs. All you need to do is add your personal touches — flowers, décor, or special details — and we’ll make sure it all comes together beautifully.
What happens if it rains?
We’ve got you covered, literally! In the event of rain, ceremonies can be moved indoors to the Grand Hall, which offers a beautiful backup option with floor-to-ceiling windows and warm lighting.
How long do we have access to the venue?
Most full wedding rentals include 12 hours of venue access, with options to add overnight stays. Elopement and micro wedding packages include shorter timeframes depending on your needs.
Can we do engagement or bridal photos at The Estate?
Yes! Once you’ve booked your wedding, you’re welcome to schedule a complimentary photo session on-site with your photographer. The property offers endless photo opportunities - from mountain views to elegant interiors.
Do you offer tours of the venue?
Yes, we do! We’d love to show you around The Estate at Sweetwater Creek and help you envision your day here. During your private tour, you’ll walk through each ceremony and reception space, see our overnight accommodations, and discuss package options with our team.
